On a Shopee Brazil project we ran for a client, one listing showed R$175.18. That was the price with Pix payment and a coupon. Paying any other way, the same item cost R$204.88. Both numbers were “the price” on that page, and two correctly built scrapers could have returned either one.
That’s the problem with Shopee product data in one example: the page shows a single price, but the listing behind it has several. So we took one day of Shopee data, 200 products and 922 variants (SKUs), and measured how far the page price drifts from what each variant actually sells for. The data comes from the pipeline behind our Shopee data feeds, and all of it is free to download.
TL;DR
- Every multi-variant product priced its variants differently. All 86 did, with a median gap of 26% between the cheapest and most expensive variant.
- 71% of SKUs showed a strikethrough price, but discount depth depended on the category: about 10% in Medical Supplies, 29% at the median in Pet Food.
- Recent sales tell a different story from lifetime sales. For 34% of products, the last 30 days were more than half of all sales ever.
- 89% of SKUs shipped free to our test postcode, so shipping fees only make sense when collected for a fixed location.
Key finding: In an Octoparse analysis of 922 Shopee SKUs collected on October 17, 2026, every product with more than one variant sold those variants at different prices, with a median gap of 26% between the cheapest and most expensive.
What data did we look at?
200 products and their 922 variants (SKUs) from 54 shops on Shopee Brazil, collected from public product pages on October 17, 2026. Most products are in Pet Food (126) and Medical Supplies (73).
For each product we have the headline price, units sold in the last 30 days, total units sold, rating and rating count, the three-level category, the shop and the ships-from state. For each SKU we have the variant options, the selling price, the strikethrough price, the shipping fee to a fixed São Paulo postcode and the status.
The sample is concentrated in two categories, so read the numbers as what SKU-level Shopee data can show, not as market-wide averages. The dataset is public on Hugging Face and Kaggle, and every number below can be rerun in this notebook.
Is the Shopee product page price the real price?
It’s one variant’s price, and often the cheapest.
86 of the 200 products had more than one variant. All 86 sold those variants at different prices, and the median gap between the cheapest and most expensive was 26%.
Here’s a typical case. A stethoscope listing shows R$27.89 on the product page. That’s the price of one color. The other three colors sell for R$30.99.
Add the payment-method prices from the opening example and a single listing can carry three or four valid prices. That’s why every price field in a Shopee feed needs a written definition before collection starts.

How common are discounts on Shopee?
Very common, but their size depends on the category.
71% of SKUs showed a strikethrough (list) price above the selling price.

In Medical Supplies, discounts sit tightly around 10%, which looks like a standard markdown applied across listings rather than a real promotion. Pet Food discounts are spread out and deeper. An “average Shopee discount” across both would describe neither.
What do Shopee sales numbers tell you?
Shopee shows two figures, and they answer different questions: units sold in the last 30 days, and units sold since the listing went up.
- The median product sold 2 units in the last 30 days. The top product sold 5,001.
- For 34% of products, the last 30 days were more than half of their lifetime sales.
That last ratio is a quick way to find products that are new or suddenly taking off. A listing with big lifetime sales but little recent movement is a different kind of competitor from one that sold most of its units this month.
Does Shopee shipping change the comparison?
Yes, and it depends on where the order is going.
89% of SKUs shipped free to our São Paulo test postcode. Where a fee applied, it ran up to about R$20 for heavy items. Because Shopee calculates shipping by delivery location, a shipping fee only compares like with like when it’s collected for the same postcode. If your customers are spread across regions, collect a few postcodes per market.
What this means if you track Shopee prices
- Track variant prices, not the headline price. The page price is one variant.
- Define which price you capture. Displayed price, selected-variant price or payment-specific price.
- Keep the strikethrough price as its own field. It shows how sellers frame discounts, and it differs by category.
- Use both sales figures. The 30-day to lifetime ratio flags fast-growing products.
- Fix the delivery location for shipping fees, and treat each Shopee market separately.

Title, brand, category path, attributes, description, images, headline price and price range, rating and rating count, 30-day and total sold, shop name and rating, ships-from location, and for each variant its options, selling price, strikethrough price, shipping fee and status.
Can you trust the Shopee sold count?
Treat it as Shopee’s own reported figure, not audited sales. It’s reliable enough to rank products and spot fast-growing ones, especially when you compare the 30-day count with the lifetime total. For exact sales you’d need the seller’s own data.
Why do two Shopee scrapers return different prices for the same product?
Usually because they capture different prices: the headline price, a specific variant, or a price that depends on payment method or vouchers. Define the field first.
Does Shopee have an API for product data?
The Shopee Open Platform is for sellers and partners managing their own shops. Competitors’ prices and listings come from public product pages.
Can I get Shopee data for other countries?
