These names deserve different answers. Search demand alone is not a reason to place every brand in an active-provider recommendation list.
922 proxy: distinguish the historical domain from lookalikes
Google Threat Intelligence Group’s January 2026 IPIDEA report names 922 Proxy and 922proxy.com among brands controlled by the actors behind that network. Google describes disruption of the infrastructure and business operations. That is stronger evidence than simply repeating an old pool-size advertisement.

Do not treat a different domain using “922” in its name as a verified successor. This review has not authenticated the ownership or continuity of 922proxy.org or other replacement domains. Before considering such a service, establish the operator and current account terms instead of transferring historical specifications to it.
9 proxy: compare the IP-based and GB-based products separately
9Proxy’s English product page currently distinguishes IP-based and GB-based residential offerings. It lists HTTP/SOCKS5 for the IP-based product and sticky sessions for the GB-based product. Those details answer different questions: protocol determines whether your client can connect; billing determines what usage consumes your balance.

Our browser loaded a localized page on the first visit and an English page on a subsequent visit. The two versions displayed different uptime claims. We therefore do not reproduce an uptime percentage in the comparison table. This observation concerns page consistency, not measured proxy-network uptime.
For the search term “9 proxy,” the buying question is which 9Proxy product, billing unit, authentication method, and runtime you need. A general statement that the brand “works with scrapers” does not establish that its selected endpoint works with your application.
ProxyJet: the old product URL now shows a seizure notice
On 22 September 2026, our browser opened ProxyJet’s former residential product URL and received a page displaying a domain-seizure notice. It returned HTTP 200, but it was no longer the residential product page described by older search results.

The practical result is straightforward: old IP-pool totals, success-rate advertisements, traffic-validity claims, and prices are unsuitable as current purchase specifications. Verify the present operator and working service before relying on any alternative domain or reseller offer.
How to choose among the nine options
For an existing custom scraper that needs detailed routing controls, shortlist Bright Data, Oxylabs, or Decodo and check the exact endpoint and authentication instructions. Their product descriptions make them candidates for that workflow; a successful target-specific pilot must make the final decision.
For a straightforward HTTP subscription with an explicit traffic allowance, ProxyMesh offers an easy billing model to inspect. Its monthly fee and overage structure can suit recurring collection, but compare the needed location and session behavior before deciding that a lower unit cost is useful.
For a workflow that needs a stable assigned endpoint, examine the selected private-proxy products from MyPrivateProxy and HighProxies. Check allocation, replacement conditions, and source-IP authorization. Neither brand’s general homepage establishes that every product has the same features.
For 9Proxy or IPcook, choose the product family first. Comparing a per-IP plan with a traffic-based plan before estimating your workload produces a misleading price comparison. Ask what expires, what is metered, and what happens if a selected endpoint stops responding.
For a team whose goal is an exported dataset rather than maintaining proxy code, Octoparse deserves a separate workflow evaluation. It includes the extraction layer that a proxy endpoint alone does not supply. This difference matters more than presenting it as the winner of an unrun network benchmark.
The former Smartproxy listing also needs an identity correction. Smartproxy announced the Decodo name on 22 April 2025. This comparison uses Decodo’s own current pages; it does not assume that another domain containing “smartproxy” belongs to the same operator.
Check Octoparse compatibility before buying external proxies
Octoparse is a web data platform combining the Templates Gallery, Octoparse Desktop authoring, and owned extraction infrastructure. Use it when the objective is structured website data and a repeatable collection workflow. A proxy endpoint is a supporting component, while the platform also handles the extraction task and its output.
Monitor a product catalog without confusing network and extraction failures
Start by checking the Templates Gallery for your source. If a ready-made task does not fit, use Desktop to author the required navigation and fields. Agree on the output schema before evaluating proxies: product identifier, URL, price, currency, and observation time might be appropriate for a price-monitoring workflow.
The documented compatibility boundary is specific: external proxies are for local runs and must meet the documented HTTP and authentication requirements. Built-in proxies support local and Cloud use. SOCKS5 support in a supplier’s brochure is not evidence that its endpoint will work in the external-proxy input.
Use the supplier’s selected product, not its brand name, as the unit of testing. Record the protocol, authentication method, run environment, region, and desired session behavior. If a provider supplies credential-based endpoints only, resolve that compatibility question before purchasing a larger package.
Then inspect actual output. A task that loads the page but omits a price has an extraction problem even if the proxy connection succeeded. A task that fails before page load requires a different investigation. Keeping the two outcomes separate prevents proxy spending from masking an unrelated configuration issue.

This comparison is based on a dated documentation review. The metrics above describe a pilot you can run; this article does not report measured cross-provider speed or success rates.
