Our story
It started with a simple wish.
In 2015, five of us shared a simple wish: make web data easier for more people to get and use. We registered Octoparse that December and started out in a small Silicon Valley apartment, working through late nights and more than one moment when we worried about making payroll.
That wish became our first product: a visual tool built around Auto-detect that helped people turn web pages into structured data without writing and maintaining scraping code by hand. We've grown a lot since then, but our starting point remains the same: make web data easier for more people to use.

Today, Octoparse has grown from a no-code scraper into a broader web data platform. Teams can start with maintained templates, build custom tasks in Octoparse Desktop, ask AI Assistant to build reusable scrapers, run them in Octoparse Cloud, and connect results through Open Platform access.
