How billing works
Octoparse billing usually includes two parts:| Billing type | What it covers |
|---|---|
| Plan-based subscription | Core product access, plan features, task limits, cloud resources, and account capabilities |
| Usage-based or add-on charges | Optional resources such as proxies, premium templates, CAPTCHA solving, or other metered services |
Plan-based subscription
A subscription plan determines what your account can use by default. Depending on the plan, this may include differences in:- Number of tasks
- Cloud extraction availability
- Concurrent runs
- Scheduling options
- Export options
- Team or collaboration features
- API or integration access
- Support level
Plan details can change over time. Always use the pricing page as the source of truth for current limits, pricing, and feature availability.
Usage-based add-ons
Some services may be charged separately from the base subscription. These are typically resources that depend on actual usage. Examples may include:- Proxy usage
- Premium templates
- CAPTCHA solving
- Extra capacity or add-on services
Before choosing a plan
Consider:| Question | Why it matters |
|---|---|
| How many tasks will you maintain? | Determines whether task limits matter |
| Do tasks need to run in the cloud? | Cloud extraction availability and capacity may differ by plan |
| How often will tasks run? | Scheduling and concurrency affect recurring workflows |
| How much data will be exported? | Export size and destination needs may affect plan choice |
| Will a team share tasks? | Collaboration and permission needs may require a higher plan |
| Do target websites require proxies or CAPTCHA handling? | Add-on usage may affect total cost |
| What happens when the free trial ends? | The trial converts to a paid subscription automatically unless cancelled before it expires |
| Can you upgrade or downgrade mid-cycle? | Plan changes may take effect immediately or at the next billing cycle |
| How do you cancel a subscription? | Cancellation steps and timing affect whether you will be charged for the next period |
