Copy or reorganize a task

octoparse task copy <taskId> --task-group <groupId> --json
octoparse task rename <taskId> --name "New name" --yes
octoparse task move <taskId> --task-group <groupId> --yes
octoparse task delete <taskId> --yes

rename, move, and delete modify remote task state and require --yes. Confirm the task and group IDs before running them in automation.

Inspect or validate a task definition

octoparse task inspect <taskId>
octoparse task validate <taskId>
octoparse task inspect <taskId> --task-file task.json
octoparse task validate <taskId> --task-file task.otd --json

When --task-file is used, <taskId> provides a fallback ID if the file does not contain one.

Manage task groups

octoparse task-group list --json
octoparse task-group create "Monitoring" --json
octoparse task-group update <groupId> --name "Price monitoring" --yes
octoparse task-group set-default <groupId> --yes
octoparse task-group delete <groupId> --yes

Group updates, deletion, and default-group changes modify remote state and require --yes.
