Overview

Shoppers on Home Depot usually decide from search cards long before they open a product page: the title, the price on the card, the rating, the category path, and the product link. This app turns one category ID and keyword into a structured table of those public search listings so assortment, pricing, and category work can start from the same view a shopper would see.

Each row keeps the keyword, category, and original search item beside the product, so later comparisons stay attached to the query that produced them. It is a search-result workbook, not a substitute for a full product page.

Data notes

Each row is one product from a public Home Depot keyword search. Rows are returned in collection-time order from earliest to latest, and the same SKU ID is kept once in the returned set. Price, Rating, and Review count are the values shown on the search listing at collection time; Price is a number as returned and is not a normalized checkout total. Category name, Category path, and Category URL describe the listing's category snapshot, which can differ from other categories the same product appears in. Collected at and Source date are returned without a timezone. Keyword, Search item, Business ID, and Source item repeat the search context across rows from the same query.

The collection does not cover product-detail pages, variants, inventory history, orders, or seller-backend data, and it does not include listings that are not visible on the public search page. A No-data marker distinguishes a search item that produced no products from ordinary product rows.

Use cases

For assortment checks, group rows by Keyword and Category name, then scan Product title and SKU ID to see which products occupy the first results for a query.
For list-price comparison, rank Price against Rating and Review count to see which cards look like premium versus entry listings.

For link harvesting, copy Product URL with Canonical path to open or archive the same search cards.

Scope and boundaries

One category-and-keyword search per task with an expected result count from 1 to 1000; coverage is limited to public Home Depot search listings.

Do not use for
When you need a full product page, variants, inventory history, or specifications beyond the search listing.

Failure handling

Failure and retry behavior declared by the author. We recommend including it in your system prompt when integrating.

1If no products are returned, confirm the category ID and keyword combination is searchable on public Home Depot, then retry with a broader keyword.
2Keep completed records after a partial success; resubmit the same input after a failed or expired task.
3Retry later after rate limiting, temporary unavailability, or a timeout.
4If authentication fails, verify the API Key configured for the execution environment.
