# Template access and pricing

> How access levels determine which templates you can use, what your subscription covers, and how additional template fees are calculated.

Your Octoparse plan determines which templates you can use. Most of these templates are available at no additional cost. Some use paid services within the collection workflow and charge separately for the records collected.

## Access level

Each template has an **Access level** that specifies the minimum plan required to use it. Your plan must meet or exceed this level.

| Access level | Required plan          |
| ------------ | ---------------------- |
| All          | All plans              |
| Standard     | Standard or higher     |
| Professional | Professional or higher |

Templates marked **All** can be run on every plan. Free users can run these templates and review the results, but cannot export the collected data. With a Standard subscription, you can also use templates marked Standard. A template marked Professional requires Professional or a higher plan.

Access level does not indicate whether a template has an additional fee. A Professional template, for example, may be included in the subscription at no extra cost.

## Templates with no additional fee

Most templates have no separate usage fee. Once your plan meets the required access level, you can run these templates repeatedly without a charge for each run or record collected.

For templates included in a paid plan, the subscription fee covers template use. Collecting more records does not increase the template cost, which makes these templates economical for regular or large collections. The execution and resource limits of your plan still apply; no additional template fee does not mean unlimited cloud resources.

## Paid templates

Some templates include advanced features, such as paid proxies or CAPTCHA solving, to keep collection reliable. These services have operating costs that generally increase with the amount of data collected. Templates that use them charge an additional fee based on the number of records collected.

Paid templates require **Standard or higher**, with the exact access level specified for each template. The usage fee is separate from the subscription: paying for template usage does not replace the required plan.

The rate listed for a paid template determines the cost of the collected records. For example, collecting 2,000 records costs twice as much as collecting 1,000 records when the same rate applies to both runs.

## Tiered rates and plan discounts

Some paid templates offer tiered pricing and discounted rates for Standard and Professional users. The applicable rate depends on the pricing rules for that template and your subscription plan.

The pricing details on the individual template page explain the available tiers and discounts. They provide the rate to use when estimating the cost of a collection.
