Export Octoparse Data into Your SqlServer Manually

Wednesday, July 20, 2016 11:53 PM

In this article I will show you how to export Data extracted into your database.

Before exporting data to your database, check the data extracted by hovering your mouse over the task.

( “View data” function is only available when using cloud extraction.)

Let's get started!

In the “My task” list, hover your mouse over the task.

Click the task and choose the “View data”. Then all the date extracted will be showed in the screen.

At the bottom of the screen, click“Export Current” button and choose “Export to Database”.

In the pop-up screen, click “Next” to complete the database connection information.

We see that all the field are listed. Select data table from the list. (I will choose “Test” here for example.)

You can choose to ignore error during exporting the data. Click “Next”.

After you click “Next”, Octoparse begins to export data.

Click “Finish” when the export process has completed.

After you schedule an import or export operation, you will need to start your export operation.

In the pop-up window named “Export task outputs to database on schedule”, we click the Start button to start the export operation.

We can also check and manage the scheduled export tasks.

You can also find the window by clicking the "Export plan" icon in the top-left corner of the Octoparse interface.

Now all the data has been imported into your database.

Note:

Once you start the export operation, you can't close Octoparse but you can close the "Export task outputs to database on schedule" window.

Because if you close Octoparse, you also close the Export scheduler and will stop/kill the export process.

If Octoparse is closed by accident and the export process is stopped, you can open Octoparse and restart your export task. The system will continue the export operation.

Happy Data Hunting!
